ABOUT THE SHOW

After the classicism of Mozart and the baroque of Bach, Evgeny Kissin will explore the romantic poetry of Chopin and the incisive writing of Rachmaninov.

In a 30-year career, Kissin has now reached a unique level of interpretation, mastering the technical difficulties as no one else to expose the drama, the nobility and the poetry of his performances Capable of all prowess, he also knows how to handle emotion to give full range to his expression. Il est de ces interprètes dont le répertoire romantique constitue la pierre angulaire de leur parcours. A beautiful musical relationship unites the virtuoso and the Parisian audience, that continues to blossom from season to season. A regular guest of the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, where he performs each year with great success, the “sacred monster of the piano” is back in 2023 for a new recital. The programme of this concert, which conjures up the baroque of Bach, the classicism of Mozart, the musical poetry of Debussy and the modernity of Rachmaninoff, should be a new and brilliant demonstration of his talent.
