PRODUCTIONS INTERNATIONALES ALBERT SARFATI SINCE 1948

More than 60 years ago, the Productions Internationales Albert Sarfati was created from a man’s passion for culture, risks and live performance in all its diversity. He was a pioneer of transversality, in a world where communication and international exchanges were not yet managed through a virtual web. Albert Sarfati, well-known impresario and producer, travelled tirelessly around Europe, Japan, and Russia to convince orchestras, ballets, operas, theatres and major personalities of the cultural world. Thanks to his charisma, he knew how to gather many of the most prestigious international ensembles in his productions’ quality. After his disappearance in 1992, his wife Lily Sarfati and his two daughters Cathy and Vony Sarfati took over the office’s management.
Since then, new horizons in creation, new companies, new borders have opened up. Created, at first, as a productions and tours agency, the office has evolved and started an artistic management department to accompany the career of many experienced artists, as well as promising ones. Henceforth, the Productions Internationales Albert Sarfati is one in a few to have three separate departments (production, artistic management, tours), specialised in classical music and dance. Producer of performances in Paris (with the support of many privileged partners such as the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and the Philharmonie de Paris), co-director of the TranscenDanses series (Théâtre des Champs-Élysées), agent and tour-organiser in France and abroad, the office walks in Albert Sarfati’s steps, with the same care for excellency, doubled with the will of adapting to a constantly changing world. Foster French arts internationally, invite and promote foreign companies and orchestras in France, support young artists and manage prestigious soloists’ careers: here is the essence of this private family institution, turned towards plurality, cultural mediation and artistic excellency.
