The variety of nuances that Igor Levit brings to his keyboard certainly ranks him among the greatest pianists.

The leading international venues are vying to welcome the pianist Igor Levit, who is now among the international keyboard elite. The artist whom Télérama describes as “a Mensch, in other words a person remarkable for his human qualities as much as for the beauty and intelligence of his piano” is considered one of the greatest interpreters of Beethoven today. His unique interpretation of the complete piano sonatas, which he has just recorded for Sony Classical, is a real tour de force praised by enthusiastic critics. The album has been nominated for a Grammy Award and was awarded ‘Artist of the Year 2020’ by Gramophone. Besides Beethoven, the pianist’s interest also includes the German repertoire, Bach, the Viennese classicism, the romantic piano and the contemporary repertoire in which he excels equally well. A regular of the Parisian stages, the German-Russian pianist returns to the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in a recital, with a programme with a programme that borrows from the romantic repertoire. In addition, Igor Levit will honour the contemporary repertoire with a creation by the American Fred Hersch.
