American soprano Renee Fleming has a vast repertoire, and an equally vast talent. Be it Strauss, Mozart, Handel, bel canto, Viennese Lieder, French melody (from Duparc to Dutilleux), jazz and even rock; a true diva assoluta. At the piano, the Russian Evgeny Kissin has achieved maturity and depth in his playing. Now forty, he has reached a unique level of interpretation, mastering the technical difficulties like none other than to bring to life the drama, nobility and poetry of his programs. Paris has witnessed him alone in recital, in trio or quartet, but this is the first time he is associated with song, and what a singer to pair with! A collaboration to look forward to.
