Boris Berezovsky : a colossal figure with a dazzling technique

A colossal figure with a dazzling technique, acquired at the Moscow Conservatory, Boris Berezovsky plays the Russian piano in the purest tradition. Virtuosity and poetry, marked by the seal of Slavic sensitivity, are thus brilliantly illustrated in his performances on stage and on record. Admirable servant including Rachmaninov and Prokofiev, he cultivates a taste for the chamber music repertoire he practices as much alone as with friends. Nice demonstration again this season with this program making a dialogue between some German masters with the Russian twentieth century.
